In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the 18th century, classical motifs featuring putti or cupids were widely produced via copperplate engraving to symbolise the arts, sciences, and philosophy within Neoclassical interiors.

These artworks were typically printed using hand-engraved copper plates onto rag paper using iron oxide or carbon-based inks, and subsequently mounted within dark or gilded wood frames.

Authentic period prints feature distinct plate mark impressions around the image border, visible chain lines in the hand-laid rag paper, and signs of age-related discolouration or foxing.

Position the piece above a side cabinet, desk, or within a curated gallery wall to introduce historical detail alongside modern or classical furnishings.

Display the artwork away from direct sunlight and areas of high humidity, ensuring UV-protective glass is utilised to prevent fading and deterioration of the paper.
