Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this Antique Pocket Aneroid Barometer to the 1900s.
Additionally it incorporates a semi-circular mercury thermometer, also fully working. It is signed for Littlejohn & Son of Wellington, New Zealand. Circa 1890/1900

W. LITTLEJOHN & SON was a well-known historical firm of jewellers; watchmakers and scientific instrument makers, based at Lambton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand. The firm was established in 1879, and was taken over by son Alexander Ironside Littlejohn in 1890. Such instruments were often used as altimeters, because barometric pressure drops by approximately a half-inch for every 500 feet of altitude.
