William Rand Antiques has dated this Pastoral Landscape Oil Painting to the 1920s.

Signed lower left and dated 1921
He became an Associate of the Royal Academy in 1913 and a full Royal Academician in 1920, the year before this painting was painted. He served as President of the Royal Watercolour Society from 1920 - 1936.

His works have been held in prestigious collections around the globe including, the Tate, London; the Imperial War Museum, London; the Musée Royal, Florence; the Musée Modern, Rome; the Barcelona Museum; the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney; the Welsh National Galley and in several provincial galleries throughout the UK.

He worked as an official war artist in France during the First World War (1914-1918) and was knighted in 1923.
