D and A Binder Ltd has dated this Art Deco Boy Statue to the 1920s.

The figure retains its original hand-painted finish, with soft green tones contrasting beautifully against the warm flesh tones and dark highlighted hair. The expressive pose and downward gaze naturally draw attention to the tray he is holding.

The reverse bears the registration mark Rd. 817899, dating the design to the early 1930s. Pieces of this nature were often produced as decorative yet functional objects, with the tray intended for flowers, calling cards, small displays, or other household uses.

The tray makes this an unusually flexible shop display piece, suitable for use as a display stand, catchall, presentation tray, or retail prop. A charming and characterful example of Art Deco design that would make a striking addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
