Victorian Classical sterling silver-plated water pitcher. Made by Elkington & Co. around c1890. Globular bowl with straight, gently tapering neck and small lip spout. Cast gadrooned handle draped with beading and terminating in a female mask in an imbricated leaf surround. Beaded and chevron borders. Gilt-washed interior. Fully marked.
Dimensions: H 18.5 cm x D 15.5 cm. A superb example, offered in very good condition with minor blemishes, displays beautifully and showcases the quality of Elkington & Co. Weight 680g
