Description

A very good early bronze mortar from the last quarter of the 17thc....it is unusual as the decoration is what looks like an oak tree with spreading branches....it has come from an unidentified foundry and I have failed to find any further reference or pictures of similar mortars of this perod....so quite a scarce example of these collectable mortars...in very nice condition for its age and use.
