Antique Pewter has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
Antique English pewter triple reeded plate of 9.375 inch (23.80cm) diameter. The front rim bears a well struck set of hall marks for maker 'IM' of Oxford who worked circa 1680. The reverse bears a partial touchmark containing the initial 'IP' along with a marriage triad 'HMM'. Further research may enable the exact maker to be identified.

The hallmarks are attributed to the following possible makers:
'IM' PS6668 worked 1670 - 1710.
Tobias (Toby) Payne PS7088 worked 1690 - 1739.

Condition:
The plate is in excellent condition with a lightly polished finish to the front, with some small traces of oxide. The reverse is un-polished with some light oxide.
Repairs: There is a very small old repair to the reverse rim / well, very difficult to detect..
