Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

  • SizeH 103 cm (41 in) x W 91 cm (36 in) x D 40 cm (16 in)

This 19th century French Empire chiffonier, or side cabinet, follows the architectural style of the period with a rectangular form and a variegated blue/green marble top. The rich dark timber carcass is finished with fine quality crisply cast ormolu mounts, including decorative frieze plaques, key escutcheons, and ornate female bust capitals topping the front pilasters. A pair of lockable doors with key supplied feature brass grills lined with green and gold pleated fabric and a hanging tassel. The interior contains adjustable shelving, and the base rests on carved paw feet. Measuring 103 cm high, 91 cm wide, and 40 cm deep, this practical storage piece fits easily into a living room, dining room, or hallway to display decorative items on top while keeping books, tableware, or linens concealed inside. The combination of warm wood tones, polished stone, and gleaming gilt metal details complements both traditional and eclectic interior schemes.
