Signed on one side: Fet. Hermann Steiner Meran and written in German on the under side: Birnbaum Holz Studie Süd Tirolerin Garda See.

Professor Hermann Steiner is the founder of the Steiner Museum in Meran Italy.

The Steiner are a famous carver familie.
