18th Century, Oak Carved Religious Statue of Saint Jerome (Croatian).
Intricately carved circa 1780, with stunning patina, and an ingraved scent of incense gained over 230 years in the church it was purchased from in Croatia. Standing at just over four feet, this statue of Saint Jerome (342-420 AD) shows him wearing a cardinals robe, carrying a galero and a cup on his belt, carrying prayer beads and a crucifix. The craftsmanship of this piece is exceptional.
