Standing at just over four feet, this statue of Saint Jerome (342-420 AD) shows him wearing a cardinals robe, carrying a galero and a cup on his belt, carrying prayer beads and a crucifix. The craftsmanship of this piece is exceptional.Saint Jerome, also known as Jerome of Stridon, was an early Christian priest, confessor, theologian, translator, and historian. He is best known for his translation of the Bible into Latin.
