Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Introduced in the mid-20th century, the Centenaire line by Eterna commemorated the brands 100th anniversary in 1956. These models featured advanced automatic movements with ball-bearing rotors designed to reduce friction and mechanical wear.

Vintage 1960s Swiss timepieces were commonly constructed with cases forged from solid 9ct or 18ct gold, fitted with acrylic crystals and leather straps. Internal mechanical movements utilised brass plates and synthetic sapphire jewels to minimise friction.

Authentic pieces feature clear hallmarks stamped inside or outside the case back to verify gold purity, alongside maker logos on the dial and movement. Serial numbers stamped on the movement or case correlate with specific manufacturer production logs.

A 1960s gold wristwatch pairs naturally with formal tailoring as well as refined smart-casual wear. The warm yellow gold tones and classic leather strap complement neutral tones such as navy, grey, and cream.

Store the watch away from strong magnetic fields and extreme humidity, as vintage cases generally lack modern water resistance. Professional servicing every three to five years maintains lubrication within the gear train and ensures precise operation.
