Description

Outstanding Japanese vintage (1930s) bronze horse sculpture by Takasetsu Onoda in collaboration with caster Shozo Sugai. 33.5cm high x 38cm wide x 16cm deep, weight 9kg.

Excellent condition and patina.

Takasetsu Onoda (1892-1955) was born in Yamagata and graduated from Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1915, where he studied under Fumio Asakura. During his career he won numerous awards and was active in the Teiten and Shinbunten exhibitions.
