The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Valjoux 90 hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 35.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chromium plated while the case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in good condition (some natural light reflection showing in the photos).
The dial is signed Arbu, the name formed from the name of the founder of the company Arthur Bueche, established in Biel in 1937. The company specialised in chronographs and calendar watches with ebauches supplied by various manufacturers, including Valjoux. Arthur Beuche was bought out by the Rumanel Watch Factory SA in 1957.

The signed dial is in lovely condition. |Original hands, centre seconds sweep and date display. The day is set by winding the hands forwards, the month and date are set by way of the buttons on the side of the watch (to be set when the hands are well away from the date change over).
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
