A heavy gauge copper pot by leading 19th century silversmith Elkington and Co, Birmingham, UK. Elkington were the pioneer and inventor of the electroplating method, often using nickel. The large pot has a nickel handles and a nickel-tin lining.

A handsome antique copper pot of substantial presence whilst robust and excellent structural condition with no dents or defects.
The pot features the Elkington and Co impressed makers stamp and item number L40037. We estimate date to be late 19th to early 20th century.

A fine quality copper pot of both practical function and form with considerable decorative appeal.
