A Post-War Vickers Armstrong Wellington Bomber WWII RAF Oil Painting

Brief Description:

This is a wonderful Original Oil on Board Painting depicting a Vickers Armstrong Wellington Bomber being prepared for its next sortie.

The fabulously detailed painting portrays a small group of RAF personnel loading the Wellington with large bombs.

A senior female military officer can be seen overseeing the procedure, whilst, in the distance, a fuel lorry prepares to serve another bomber.

Circa 1950-1960, and signed, Harold Steward, lower-left corner.

Mounted within a gilt moulded frame, and ready to hang immediately.
