A Pair of Landscape Oil Paintings by Alfred Oliver - Spring and Autumn

Description

A pair of fine and evocative paintings of Spring and Autumn by Alfred Oliver (1868-1943).

Both paintings are beautifully worked with great detail and wonderfully captures the different seasons with the colours remaining fresh and vibrant as they had previously ben conserved under glass.

Both works are signed by Alfred Oliver (1868-1943), the artist was born in Nottingham but lived for most of his later years in North Wales, where he was renowned for painting the landscapes in differing weather conditions and times of day. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1886-1921.

Both works are in excellent condition in their original gilt swept frames with a wonderful mellow patina
