Her career brought numerous awards, including the Latimer (1969, 1974) and Mary Armour Prizes (1994, 1997, 2006). She taught part-time at Glasgow School of Art (1980–90), was elected to the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts (1994), and later to the Royal Society of Portrait Painters (2021).

Her portrait commissions include leading Scottish academics, judges, and politicians, with works held in public collections such as the Hunterian, Kelvingrove, several universities, the Royal Scottish Conservatoire, and Dover House, London. She exhibited widely with the Royal Scottish Academy, the RGI, the RP, and major private galleries.
This work exemplifies the pedigree of a painter whose reputation is recognised by both national institutions and collectors.
