Worcester Porcelain Cream Jug, Flight Period, C. 1785.

Description

Worcester porcelain cream jug, Flight period, c. 1785. The ‘Helmet’ jug, finely potted with ‘shanked’ moulding, and beautifully hand painted with sprays of flowers, surrounded by smaller sprigs of flowers, and having gilt rims.

The porcelain is actually a brilliant white, which has been difficult to convey in the images.

Height – 11.5 cm, 4 1/2”.

Width – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.

Depth – 8 cm, 3 1/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
