A Huge Rare 19th Century Chesterfield Sofa

Description

A highly unusual and impressive 19th century chesterfield sofa of monumental country house proportions. At over 3 meters wide this sofa is likely a one off bespoke made piece intended for a specific location is a large country house. English c1870

Raised on 3 turned and fluted walnut and parcel gilt front legs and thick splayed rear legs all with the original casters.

The sofa retains its original Horse hair buttoned back and seat innards which are firm and intact.

Currently upholstered in a pink demask satin silk which is in ready to condition and in our opinion really suits the sofa. Its not perfect and does have minimal wear as you may expect.

Structurally in good solid condition.

As with all our upholstered seating we do offer upholstery should you wish.
