This very striking PAIR OF BLACK FOREST CARVED WOOD BULL AND COW FIGURES date from circa 1900.
They are signed J. ABPLANALP (Jacob Abplanalp 1860 - 1930) to the front of the bases. Jacob ABPLANALP was a renowned carver from Brienz, Switzerland.
During their lifetime there have been losses to their ears and horns - all part of their history. There are no repairs.
The Figures are in good, unrestored condition.
