A French Late 18thC Copper Watering Can, Arrosoir circa 1800, 56cm length, fully watertight

A large late 18th to circa 1800, French copper watering can, arrosoir en cuivre, of excellent scale and timeworn appearance.

A handmade copper watering can, traditionally found in the French country house, estate houses and chateau etc.., an estate made arrosoir of excellent scale, the large model with impressive, original rose head.

We have tested the watering can and it produces a magnificent fountain of water, the arrosoir has been sealed checked and no leaks, fully water tight with no losses but many areas evidence of historical repairs, this adds to its delightful, enchanting appeal.
