This Italian Renaissance style sideboard dates from 1920 and is formed from walnut with a warm brown finish. The upper section contains three frieze drawers flanked by small recessed panels, while the lower section has three doors and outer cupboards featuring carved cartouche panels and geometric mouldings. A carved frieze runs along the top edge above small round brass drawer pulls, and the whole piece stands on a plinth base. The woodwork displays varied figuring with darker grain patterns across the front doors. Measuring 121 cm high, 182 cm wide and 51 cm deep, this large storage unit serves well in a dining room, living room or hallway. It provides surface space on top for display items and concealed storage behind the doors and drawers for tableware, linens or books, suiting traditional and classic interiors.
