A fine Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Mason''s Ironstone ''Hydra'' Jug by C.J. Mason & Co. of Lane Delph, Staffordshire. Colourfully decorated in a typical ''Japan'' pattern, the handle formed as a serpent, the base with the early straight line impressed Maker''s mark reading MASON''S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA as used circa 1813 - 1825. A good decorative example of the period.
