A well-drawn and elegant sized chest on chest with a burr walnut veneered cornice over three short and three long oak lined drawers. The drawer fronts are crossbanded in burr with herringbone inlays and unusual oyster cut walnut veneers.

The chest on chest retains all the original gilt brass handles and escutcheons and the walnut bevelled moulding separates the bottom chest with three long graduated drawers that stand on the original veneered ogee bracket feet.

The figured walnut to the sides is straight in grain and retains a good colour.
