A fine antique English pewter tobacco jar of cylindrical form with filleted banding to the drum, and a dome lid surmounted with an man''s head finial.
The tobacco jar retains its original lead presser that was used to keep the tobacco moist.
The tobacco jar is in excellent condition with a polished silver grey finish and some slight traces of oxide, there is an old repair to the underside of the lid where the mans head is attached.
