Antique Pewter has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The mug has a slightly tapering plain body and stands on a stepped foot. The handle has a tongued thumb rest and a ball terminal at the lower end. There is a faint makers mark to the inside of the base.
An identical mug is published as item 150, page 58 in 'Early English Pewter Drinking Mugs' by Carl Ricketts.

Condition:
Excellent condition with a lightly polished silver grey finish and some small traces of light oxide.
Repairs: There is a very small repaired split to the righthand side of the handle (see images).
