The painting has good colour and in good condition, signed bottom right Frank Wood 1943 with Bamburgh signed to the bottom left.

Frank Wood was born locally in Berwick-upon-Tweed in 1862, a naval officer and ships artist, in his early life he became a professional artist in 1899. In 1903 he sold a painting to King Edward V11 as well as Queen Alexandria purchased his work.
