1925/6 Omega 18k Gold Wristwatch

1900 - 1920
Description

A 1925/26 Omega 18K gold wristwatch. A two-tone dial finish with a lightly reflective central rectangular area, surrounded by a matte silver finish to the rest. The minute and hours are marked by black strips in a concentric form, doubled at 12 o'clock. A subsidiary seconds dial to 6 o'clock, with a recessed centre and a counter-balanced seconds hand. Blued steel variants of 'pencil' hands indicate the hours and minutes.

A well designed 18K gold case, with a singular hinge to the back. The mechanism and dial are secured to a metal body within the case. An exceptional level of detailed engraving to the case, with scrolled forms and fan sections. The back has rubbed hallmarks to the back, though the outlines can be made out. Case back marked with a reference of 24022.

The watch is powered by a 15 jewel, caliber 23.7 S T.2 Omega mechanism. The date of this watch is c1925/6, with a 7.1M serial number giving this approximate date.

Case width (excluding crown) 26mm

Case height 40mm

Case depth (including glass) 7mm

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
