The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the handsome horn lugs. Although originally designed to be worn by a man, it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case has a stainless steel bezel and case back, and an alloy centre. There is pitting and marking to the alloy section but overall very acceptable for a piece from the early 1950s.

The lens has a couple of minor marks but you have to look closely to see them.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage Smiths presentation box (with a new insert).
