A rare and unusual Elm dresser base. Having a raised section incorporating three true spice drawers and two dummy drawers, a well figured two piece top above three pulvinated drawers, this moulded feature also continues around the sides, standing on well shaped silhouette legs.
Of the most wonderful rich warm colour associated with Elm furniture from this period.
In excellent original condition having just one replaced stretcher, later handles and one later drawer back.
Circa 1690.
A rare and possibly unique example of English country furniture.
