Strachan studied at the Liverpool College of Art and later travelled throughout Great Britain in order to paint the the country life which he loved to portray.He lived in many places including the Cotswolds,Warwick,Evesham,New Brighton,Glasgow,Edinburgh,London,North Wales and Minehead.He exhibited at the Birmingham Art Gallery,The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour,Royal Academy and the Walker Art Gallery,Liverpool. ‘Girl in the Garden of a Thatched Cottage’ signed watercolour, image size 34x50 cms,framed size 60x75 cms.
