Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Nineteenth century architectural engravings were often produced to document historic buildings, monuments, and ecclesiastical structures across Europe, serving as both record and art during the Gothic revival period.

Authentic pieces typically feature hand-pressed ink on laid or wove paper, often housed within wooden frames with glass protection and paper mats to preserve the fragile medium.

Authentication involves examining the paper texture for watermarks or age-related toning, inspecting the plate marks left by the printing press, and checking for period-appropriate framing techniques.

These pieces can be displayed in a symmetrical grid on neutral walls to highlight their linear precision, adding a sense of academic heritage and historical depth to modern spaces.

Preservation requires mounting the art with acid-free materials, keeping it away from direct sunlight to prevent fading, and maintaining stable indoor humidity levels to protect the paper.
