This attractive French sofa is in remarkably good condition. If not original to the date of manufacture (1890 - 1910), its sumptuous raspberry pink velvet cover and intricate bullion fringe and tassels, have certainly been in place for many generations. Fabrics generally do not stand the test of time, but in this case, the small amount of wear this sofa has received, has created an appealing three-dimensional look to its velvet covering. It is the perfect choice for decorators, looking to bring warmth and interest into an interior. If you lift the fringe at the front, you will find a pair of pretty French cabriole legs, supported by two original castors with wooden wheels, both of which are in very good condition.
