19th Century Folk Art Branch FigureThis unusual sculptural object is made from sections of branch wood which have been joined together to create a man riding a galloping horse. Supported by a pine base, the horse has glass eyes and a metal bridle. The man also has glass eyes and metal pins in sections. All hand carved detail with some loss due its age. Long gone aged worm holes are present which do not cause any structural damage or fragility to this object. Its firmly in place and supported by the base.
