Henry Spernon Tozer 1865-1955.Born in Sheerness,Kent.Tozer spent much of his life living and painting in Cornwall.Tozer is highly regarded as a painter of country life,with bias towards cottage interiors.Many of Henry’s paintings are of older people in domestic situations.He would often include an elderly person in his watercolours.He was known to have exhibited at Birmingham as well as exhibiting and selling a painting at the Newlyn Art Gallery.Tozer was an artist of great skill and his paintings have a strong following..His works can be found in collections around the world ‘Cleaning the Clock’ signed watercolour,dated 1925,image size 27x36.5 cms,framed size 47x55.5 cms.One of two examples by this artist currently in stock.
