Description

A charming oil on canvas painting of a thoroughbred horse, "The Wren" signed Marion Harvey the Scottish artist 1886-1971.

The painting is in good condition, with a Glasgow framers label to the back.

Marion Rodger Hamilton Harvey studied drawing and painting at the Glasgow school of Art, trained under Paul Artot a Belgium who taught "the living animal"

She specialised in animal paintings, including dogs and horses, exhibiting extensively from 1916-1965.
