Wardrobe French Restauration C1830 Pine

Here we have a stunning French Restauration period Pine wardrobe c1830. The wardrobe as you can see has fantastic colour and patina. The warm golden polished wax finish is only achieved with Pine this age. As you can see this piece is of pegged construction and beautifully made. Above all the whole piece is nicely original including the backboards and working lock and key. There is a small piece of wood replaced on the base but nothing more than yoy would expect. The nicely moulded and dovetailed pediment is removable as is the moulded base. There are lovely fielded panels to the doors and chamfered rounded corners to the sides. As you will probably know contnental pine furniture like this was made with thick pine so this is not a flimsy item but very solid. A beautiful piece of lovely proportions in excellent antique condition ready for your home.
