Antique 1913 Waltham Marquis pocket watch.
The watch has a 15-jewel Marquis grade stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The gilt movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 19,267,861 which dates it back to 1913. The movement is protected by an inner hinged.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a Birmingham based case manufacturer and supplier to Waltham UK. The case has a little unevenness and a few little marks to the back but otherwise is in good condition.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in an antique presentation box from a London jeweller, it is a bit tatty but still nice to have.
