Description

Antique Elgin pocket watch, 1911.

The watch has a 17-jewel stem-winding movement, grade 387, which is working nicely. This is a good quality movement with a Moseley patent regulator and screw-set jewels, both nice signs of quality. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 23,786,717 which dates it back to around 1911. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and it is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the hinged case back.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has looks good to the naked eye. There are a couple of short faint hairlines towards the edge but they are difficult to see with the naked eye. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
