Masterpiece Large Chinese Cloisonne Enamel ''Dragon'' Plaque / Charger. Circa 1800. Extremely rare.
Superbly rendered with two fierce Dragons embroiled in a fight. Three toed Dragons superbly rendered and of the highest artisan skills and quality. Very finally applied against a light blue enamel backround, with magnificent detail to dragon heads, etes, horns, scales, and battling between their flames. Rarely found in plaque form (2.5mm thick).
Condition: Excellent condition for this form of construction. Crazing throughout on the en-plein background. Excellent circular shape with no dents or creases. The circular mark to the back outer edge from it''s support plinth during firing.
Dimensions: Diameter = 36.5cm; Thickness = 0.25cm (2.5mm). [Display stand not included in Sale].
