Description

A charming New Hall bone china porcelain cream jug of boat shape painted with the ever cheerful oriental inspired "Boy & Butterfly" pattern, number 421. A bold collection of bright enamels in vivid puce, iron red, black, blue, green and turquoise, the story wraps all the way around the jug. Marked with the pattern number to the base, c.1795.

Reference: New Hall by Holgate, plate 221.

It measures 14.3cm (5 5/8") long, 9cm (3 1/2") wide and 9.5cm (3 3/4") high.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair and minimal handling wear.
