A Meiji period (1868-1912) Japanese bronze Okimono of a Crocodile. (Possibly an Alligator, as it has a squared jawline, rather than a more pointed one). Unstamped.

Superb detail. It would appear that the bottom jaw was once articulated, but has been fixed at some point, although not recently.

Length: 18 cm.
