Antique Regency Mahogany Wardrobe C1820 Wdb6318/14.3

Description

Lovely antique regency mahogany double wardrobe and dating from around 1820. Please note that the mahogany is not as 'red' in colour as the photographs show but is darker.

It has a cornice top with dentil moulding above two moulded panelled doors with a central brass divider and with two false drawer fronts to the base of each door. Internally there it has its original hooks and there is a brass hanging rail and with its original cloth lining (which is a bit careworn and could easily be removed). To the base of the wardrobe there is a long drawer which is mahogany lined and with brass handles. It stands on bracket feet.

This lovely wardrobe completely dismantles like a 'campaign wardrobe' for ease of transporting.

Measures: 81" high X 24" deep X internal depth 21" X 57" wide

In very good condition with a deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the regency period.
