Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
A fine quality 19th century cast bronze head and shoulder bust of the 13th century, Italian poet, philosopher and writer, Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) an excellent crisp cast example weighing apx 10kg with a timeworn, aged patina.., an early example, not a recent copy.
