Prometheus Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The technique is wonderfully free and light with use of pointillism and other postimpressionist techniques. The painting is in excellent untouched condition and is signed to the bottom right with the date of 1947. There is little known of the artist Marjorie Moore, she lived in Liverpool and Sutton Coldfield and exhibited in Birmingham, Liverpool, and at the Royal Cambrian Academy and Society of Women Artists. This work is the finest I have seen by the artist and retains the original frame which is also in excellent untouched condition. The whole is a wonderfully decorative work that is ready to hang.
Overall sizes in inches including frame: 26 ¾ by 30 ¾
