This is an excellent pair of Chinese watercolour paintings of early sea vessels on rice paper dating from the mid 19th Century. The paintings are very well executed and depict Chinese junks or sailing ships upon the water. Both junks show Chinese flags and mask emblems and are fully crewed. These are both in excellent order. The paintings are mounted in an elegant gold and ivory double mount and attractively framed in slim gilt frames which suit them very well.
The pair measure 43 cms by 38 cms including the frame.
