A lovely water colour of Loch Goil looking towards Carrick Castle.

In gilt frame, good strong colours.

Emile Axel Krause (1871-1945), watercolour.

Emile Krause or Kraus (1871 - 1945). Watercolour artist who lived in Birkdale, Southport in 1891. He also lived in North Wales. Exhibited works at the Royal Cambrian Academy, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and Manchester City Art Gallery.

Carrick Castle is a 14th-century tower house on the west shore of Loch Goil on the Cowal Peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, west of Scotland. It is located between Cuilmuich and Carrick.
