Pair of Gothic Revival Oak Single Beds C.1890

Description

Fine pair of late 19th.c. oak Gothic revival single beds c.1890. Head, foot boards and sides all with carved linen fold panels. Square stiles with a carved finial at the top, moulded and chamfered rails and mullions. Carved and shaped brackets where each of the vertical and horizontal elements meet. Original steel bolts and decorative escutcheons. Internal dimensions 35" x 73½". Could be modified to make a double bed. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
