Skippings Fine Arts has dated this Carved Wood Bishop Sculpture to a period before the 16th Century.

Originating from the North of France, he is carved from oak in full round, he is standing full figure, wearing a mitra and a mantle with beautiful drapery. While his forearms are absent, he seems to be addressing the viewer with a gesture of blessing. Elements of polychromy are remaining.
