Description

A beautiful antique Regency period chaise longue. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1810-1830 period.

It is of extremely fine quality and has a gorgeous design. It is a nice size, generous but not too imposing, the ends are beautifully scrolled. The wood is simulated rosewood, it has a gorgeous colour tone and has been embellished to bring out some wonderful patterns in the wood. This is how it was originally made, our polisher has only revived and enhanced it slightly. It stands on turned and fluted legs, the back is also nicely finished, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had the frame re-polished and it has been fully re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age.
